Cabbage White

Female Cabbage Whites have two dots on each wing.

Males have only one dot on each wing.

This Cabbage White is nectaring in a sea of white asters. Cabbage Whites fly throughout our entire butterfly season, from early March to late November, weather permitting.

Cabbage Whites are the little white butterflies you see everywhere. This is our most abundant species of butterfly, and it is not even native to North America. Cabbage Whites were introduced from Europe.
