Butterfly Group #3: Garden & Meadow Butterflies
Most of these butterflies can be found in meadows, fields, prairies, and gardens. Some are regular migrants or visitors to Ohio, such as the Monarch, Red Admiral, and Common Buckeye. These species journey up from the south every year. Others, like the Viceroy, Great Spangled Fritillary, and Pearl Crescent, overwinter here in Ohio.
