Glyph MOTHS, Hologram Moth, and Hydriomena

Black-dotted Glyph. I found this individual at Fairborn Marsh. I have also seen a couple of these moths at my lights in May and June.

Large Mossy Glyph. These moths show up at my lights from June thorugh August. The green color is not as apparent as in the other two glyph moths on this page.

Small Mossy Glyph. These moths come to my lights from May through August.

Hologram Moth. These are gorgeous moths with large green patches on their wings. Sadly, this photo does not do them justice. I found this moth at my lights on June 28, 2015, when I was still fairly new to moth photography. I would love to get better photos of one, but I have not seen the species since! If I ever find another Hologram Moth, it will be a red-letter day for me.

This moth is in the Hydriomena genus. Several species in that genus are difficult to distinguish. I usually leave Hydriomena moths at the genus level. Some individuals have minty-green patches on their wings, like this one.
