PALE BEAUTY & WHITE SLANT-LINE
Pale Beauty. A very common moth, with beautiful pearly-white wings. Some individuals have a faint greenish color, but the green is usually very subtle.
White Slant-line moth. This species flies in May and early June.
White Slant-line moth, photographed at Hocking Hills (eastern Ohio) on May 6, 2017. This is a common forest-dwelling species. White Slant-line moths sometimes rest on May-apple flowers during the day to hide from predators.
Pale Beauty moths are easily attracted with UV lights.

Another Pale Beauty. This species has multiple broods in our area: one in late May and early June, and another in late August and September. I also have one late sighting on October 1st.
