QUAKER MOTHS

Norman's Quakers fly in April and May.

Distinct Quaker. These moths are very common at my moth lights in early spring.

Garman's Quaker. I have found a couple of individuals at my lights in late March and early April. Note the black dots near the bottom of the wings.

Distinct Quakers fly mostly in April with stragglers into early May.

Norman's Quaker. The three individuals on this page were photographed at Hocking Hills, but I also see this species at my home lights.

Ruby Quaker, photographed April 7, 2019. This is the only Ruby Quaker I have found so far. This species is often confused with the much more common Speckled Green Fruitworm.

Another Norman's Quaker moth at Hocking Hills.

Signate Quaker. I found a couple of these moths at my lights in early September 2023 (unlike most Quaker moths, which usually fly earlier in the year).

Gray Quaker, photographed April 3, 2017. This is my only sighting of the species.

Intractable Quaker. I found a couple of these moths at my lights on April 15, 2023.
